Our Honey

Guide

What Is Kashmiri Honey?

Kashmiri honey is honey gathered by bees from the wildflowers, forests and high-altitude flora of the Kashmir valley and the surrounding Himalayas. Depending on the season and the flowers in bloom, it ranges from light and floral to deep amber and robust — a multi-floral, wildflower honey that tastes of where it came from.

Ours is raw and unfiltered — strained of debris but not heat-processed or blended with syrups. That means it keeps the natural pollen, aroma and character of real honey, rather than the uniform, over-clear look of heavily processed jars.

Know the Difference

Raw vs Processed Honey

Raw honey (ours)

  • Unheated, unblended, unfiltered beyond straining
  • Keeps natural pollen, enzymes and aroma
  • May crystallise over time — a natural sign, not a fault
  • Colour and taste vary by season and flower

Processed / commercial honey

  • Often heated and micro-filtered for a clear, uniform look
  • Sometimes blended or thinned with sugar syrup
  • Stays liquid longer, but loses natural character
  • Looks identical jar to jar, year round
Everyday Use

How to Use It

In the kitchen

  • A natural sweetener for tea, Kahwa, coffee and warm water
  • Drizzled over toast, yoghurt, oats or pancakes
  • In dressings, marinades and baking in place of sugar

Good to know

  • Avoid adding to boiling-hot liquid — warm is better for aroma
  • Store at room temperature, lid closed, away from direct sun
  • If it crystallises, warm the jar gently in warm water to re-liquify

How to Tell Pure Honey

Real, raw honey behaves like a natural product: it crystallises over time (especially in cold weather), its colour and flavour shift from batch to batch with the season, and it carries a genuine floral aroma. Perfectly clear honey that never sets and tastes identical all year is usually heavily processed or blended.

Our honey is FSSAI certified and packed hygienically, with its raw character left intact — so what reaches your jar is honey, described honestly.

Questions People Ask Us

Is your honey raw and pure?

Yes — raw, unfiltered and with no added sugar. It's strained but not heat-processed or blended, so it keeps the natural pollen and aroma of real Kashmiri honey.

Why has my honey turned solid / grainy?

That's crystallisation — a natural property of raw honey, more common in cooler weather. It's a sign of purity, not spoilage. Warm the jar gently in warm water to bring it back to liquid.

Why does the colour and taste vary?

Because it's multi-floral wildflower honey — the flowers in bloom change with the season, so each batch differs slightly. Uniformity jar-to-jar is a sign of processing, not quality.

Where is it from?

Gathered from the wildflowers and forest flora of the Kashmir valley and the surrounding Himalayas, and packed and dispatched from Pampore with a GST invoice.

How should I store it?

At room temperature with the lid closed, away from direct sunlight. No refrigeration needed. Use a dry spoon to keep it fresh.

Is it FSSAI certified?

Yes — FSSAI certified and hygienically packed.
