Whole kernels, not the broken ones
Once a cashew is roasted and salted, most buyers stop noticing whether it was whole to begin with. That makes salted packs the convenient place to send splits and broken pieces that would never sell plain. Ours are whole jumbo kernels — the same grade you would get in a plain pack, with the roasting done for you.
Why salted nuts go soft
Salt pulls moisture out of the air, so humidity takes the crunch away, not time. Reseal tightly after every use, keep the pack away from the stove, and if it does soften, five minutes in a dry pan on low heat restores it.

Questions
Fried or dry roasted?
Dry roasted. The heat does the work rather than oil, so the cashew stays crisp without the greasy film that fried nuts leave behind.
Whole kernels or broken pieces?
Whole jumbo kernels. Salted packs are often filled with splits because breakage matters less once the nut is seasoned — these are whole nuts.
Why do salted cashews go soft?
Salt draws in moisture from the air. Once open, humidity reaches the surface and crispness goes within days. Reseal tightly and keep the pack away from the stove.
Can I cook with them?
Not really. The salt throws off gravies and ruins sweets. For cooking, buy plain raw cashews and season the dish yourself.
