How to wear it

Wash both pieces the same way

The point of a set is that the two pieces stay matched — which means they should be washed the same way, at the same time. Washing one and dry cleaning the other is the quickest way to end up with two slightly different greens.

Use cold water and a mild detergent, and keep the handling gentle: do not wring, and do not brush the embroidered areas, which is where chain stitch pulls loose first. Dry in shade, inside out, since direct sun fades a mint ground and bright threadwork faster than it fades darker cloth. Iron on the reverse at a low setting, keeping the plate off the vines.
