Do not iron it flat
Crushed cotton is finished with a deliberate crinkled texture. If you press it smooth, the drape and movement go with it. It needs no ironing at all — hang it damp after washing and the texture settles on its own. It also packs into a bag without a thought.
Machine embroidered — said plainly
Hand Aari on a full-length kaftan is days, sometimes weeks of work, and a garment carrying it prices in the many thousands. At this price that is not possible — from us or from anyone else.

Questions
Is the embroidery done by hand?
No. This is machine embroidery in traditional Kashmiri Aari-style motifs. Hand Aari on a full-length kaftan takes days to weeks and prices in the many thousands.
Does crushed cotton need ironing?
No. The crinkled texture is deliberate. Ironing it smooth removes the drape and movement that make crushed cotton look the way it does.
What size is it?
Cut loose and relaxed rather than fitted. The size shown is the chest measurement in inches. Message us and we will measure the garment flat.
How do I wash it?
Cold hand wash with a mild detergent. Do not wring or brush the embroidery, dry in shade inside out, and hang it damp so the texture settles.
