Do not iron it flat

Crushed cotton is finished with a deliberate crinkled texture. If you press it smooth, the drape and movement go with it. It needs no ironing at all — hang it damp after washing and the texture settles on its own. It also packs into a bag without a thought.

Hand Aari on a full-length kaftan is days, sometimes weeks of work, and a garment carrying it prices in the many thousands. At this price that is not possible — from us or from anyone else.
