About this black Kashmiri coat
Jaal means net, and that is how the embroidery is laid out. Thin vines wind across the whole coat and branch into leaves, paisleys and buds, so there is no plain panel anywhere — the front, the back and both sleeves are covered. Against black, the gold and orange thread reads clearly from a distance, while the olive and peach details show up close.
